Jack Wilshere says player Arsenal sold for just £25m is the best he’s ever played with

Jack Wilshere stands out as one of Arsenal’s long-serving players in the modern era.

The midfielder joined the club’s academy at the age of nine and worked his way up, before breaking into the first team in 2008, and quickly emerging as a standout talent.

Wilshere’s early promise and technical ability earned him a regular place in the Arsenal squad, keeping him at the club for over a decade.

Throughout his time at the Emirates, he had the opportunity to play alongside some of the best players the Premier League has seen and Wilshere has now named the best he has played with.

Jack Wilshere names Cesc Fabregas as the best he has played with

Among those teammates was Cesc Fabregas, whom Wilshere has described as the best player he ever played alongside.

In a recent TNT Sports Football segment, the former England international was asked to name the best player he’s ever played with, and he immediately named Fabregas.

The midfielder has not hidden his admiration for Fabregas, having previously spoken about how much he learned from Fabregas during their brief time together at Arsenal, praising the Spaniard’s vision, passing range, and instinct for goal.

Wilshere even called Fabregas the ‘best’ after the Spaniard announced his retirement from football.

Fabregas established himself as a key part of Arsenal’s team between 2004 and 2011.

Jack Wilshere played alongside him for three seasons, with their best partnership emerging in the 2010-11 season, which was the Englishman’s breakthrough campaign. He made 49 appearances, scored two and assisted nine goals.

The pair together played 32 times together during their time at Arsenal, winning 20 games, losing six and drawing six.

Fabregas left Arsenal to join Barcelona in a deal worth £25m, marking an end to his incredible career at Emirates.
