Jack Wilshere puts £40m attacker Arsenal reportedly want to sign into his World Cup Dream Team

Jack Wilshere has put PSV attacker Cody Gakpo into his World Cup Dream Team, after claims Arsenal reportedly want to sign him.

Gakpo has been in devastating form for PSV this season and is even outperforming Erling Haaland based on the statistics alone.

The Dutch striker has already scored 13 goals and provided 17 assists in all competitions. And he’s achieved this in just 23 appearances.

90 Min claimed last week that Arsenal sent scouts to watch Gakpo in action in the Eredivisie. Now, Wilshere has named the forward in his World Cup Dream Team on the Sun’s website.

Wilshere puts Gakpo into World Cup Dream Team

Wilshere has named three Arsenal players in his Dream Team for the tournament in Qatar.

Gabriel Jesus makes the forward line, alongside Gakpo and Lionel Messi.

The former Arsenal man has also put both Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka into his three-man midfield.

Gakpo seems like he’s ready to announce himself on the world’s biggest stage for Holland after his blistering start to the current campaign.

Arsenal were in the market for attacking reinforcements over the summer and brought in Jesus from Manchester City.

But the Gunners did miss out on Raphinha to Barcelona, which has left them short in terms of depth in the wide areas.

Gakpo would certainly provide this and has shown he is capable of playing across the front-three.

Wilshere has named the Dutchman alongside Jesus in his side and Gunners fans would probably like the idea of this becoming a reality at the Emirates.

Arsenal’s front-three have performed brilliantly this season but they will need more quality cover for the positions if they are to maintain their push for the Premier League title.
