Jack Grealish reacts to England display on Instagram; Kalvin Phillips and Declan Rice reply

A number of England teammates were amongst those to send messages to Jack Grealish after the Aston Villa talisman took to Instagram following his display for England on Sunday.

It proved to be a disappointing night for Gareth Southgate’s men. England were beaten by Belgium to end their hopes of winning their Nations League group.

But while the game ended in defeat, it did look to be a pivotal night in Grealish’s career.

Southgate’s use of Grealish this year has been the source of major frustration for many. But the England boss did include him in the starting lineup against Roberto Martinez’s side.

And Grealish proved to be a shining light in the defeat. He was certainly England’s most exciting player throughout the contest.

If the visitors were going to stand any chance of getting back into the fixture, it looked likely that Grealish would play a crucial role.

It is now going to be incredibly difficult for Southgate to justify leaving Grealish out of future lineups.

The fans were certainly sending the plaudits his way. And it appears that many of his teammates were just as impressed.
