Andre Trindnade could reportedly be Arsenal’s most realistic January transfer target amid ongoing rumours surrounding the Brazilian midfielder.

According to journalist Dean Jones, the Fluminense star might now be the most likely midfielder to join the Gunners in the January transfer window, with Andre keen to move to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old made headlines earlier this month as the Brazilian giants won the Copa America, and Andre could now be heading to Arsenal after a whirlwind 12 months in South America.

Jones said: “Andre is an interesting one here because there definitely has been attention dedicated to his situation and if he is going to make a move, it makes sense that it will be in January because of the way the calendar works in Brazilian football.

“Fluminense are willing to sell and given the player’s profile and expectations and growth potential, I think he would be a decent fit for what Arteta is building towards.

“There is the obvious link of Edu that connects Arsenal and the Brazilian, so that could prove helpful and he certainly seems more attainable than the likes of Martin Zubimendi and Douglas Luiz in the January window.”

With the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham both being linked with Andre in recent weeks, Arsenal already face some strong competition for the midfielder heading into January.

Yet as stated by Jones, there’s a good chance that the Brazilian is the most likely signing the north London side can pull off in the winter market.

Edu Gaspar’s Brazilian links will always put the Premier League giants in a good position to pull off a signing from the South American nation.

And with Arsenal in the market for a midfielder, Andre could be a good signing for Mikel Arteta’s side, but a push to land the Brazilian has to start now.
