Ryan Babel has told the Athletic that he thinks PSV star Cody Gakpo would be absolutely brilliant for Arsenal.
The Gunners will seemingly be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements in January after missing out on Raphinha to Barcelona over the summer.
Mikel Arteta has a breathtaking front-three at his disposal in Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
But Arsenal are lacking quality depth across the frontline and Gakpo has been identified as a possible target for Arteta.
90 Min reported earlier this month that the Gunners have sent scouts to watch the Dutch star in action. Now, Liverpool legend Babel says a move to north London would be a step in the right direction for Gakpo.

Babel thinks Gakpo would be brilliant for Arsenal
Writing in his latest column for the Athletic, Babel feels Gakpo needs to choose his next move carefully.
And while he says he would like to see the 23-year-old join his old side Liverpool, he added that Arsenal would be an ‘incredible’ move for him.
“You see him linked to clubs in England, such as Manchester United. Everyone has the right price so let’s see how he develops in the tournament,” Babel told the Athletic.
“He has shown enough quality that he is ready for the next step, whether it’s in January or next summer. As a Liverpool fan, I would tell him to go to Liverpool if they make an approach!
“Arsenal would also be an incredible team for him, with the current manager and the project that they’re building. He has to follow his heart.”

Gakpo has been putting in some impressive displays for PSV this season and is even outperforming Erling Haaland based on the statistics. The forward has already scored 13 goals and provided 17 assists in just 23 appearances in all competitions.
He’s carried his lethal form into the World Cup for the Netherlands too as he’s netted twice in two appearances.
Arsenal undoubtedly need more depth in the attacking positions, particularly in the wide areas. The £40 million-rated Gakpo has shown he is capable of leading the line, as well as playing out wide effectively.
The Dutch star would be a brilliant addition for Arteta’s side and provide competition for two of Arsenal’s best players in Saka and Martinelli.
