Arsenal look certain to add another forward to their squad in January, but there are currently a number of options on the table.

Sky Sport reported Florian Plettenberg has provided an exciting update on one Arsenal target.

The most likely arrival at The Emirates right now appears to be Mykhaylo Mudryk.

The young Ukrainian seems desperate to join the Premier League leaders.

Arsenal and Shakhtar have yet to come to an agreement on a fee, but Mudryk has already agreed personal terms.

Another option the Gunners could explore is Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix.

The Portuguese is available on loan, although Arsenal may wait until later in the month to see if his price tag falls.

The youngest of the options recently linked with a move to the club is Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko.

The 18-year-old, who was part of the Germany squad at the World Cup, has just six months left on his contract.

Plettenberg has now suggested that Moukoko has held a secret meeting with Dortmund to try and reach an agreement on a contract.

However, the teenager now looks closer than ever to an exit from the club.

Arsenal target Moukoko holds secret meeting

The Sky Sport reporter said this morning that, “The departure of the 18 y/o is more & more likely.

“Secret meeting before Christmas but still no agreements regarding his salary & the signing fee.

“Moukoko demands more than €10m for his signing. BVB doesn’t want to pay that.”

The ‘incredible’ striker would be a very exciting alternative to Mudryk if they were able to get a deal over the line.

A report from 90min suggested that Arsenal were informed about Moukoko’s desire to leave less than a month ago.

Moukoko is one of the most gifted natural finishers in European football right now.

He broke the record for being the Bundesliga’s youngest ever player, and already has three league goals in six appearances this season.

His call-up to the Germany squad was a massive moment, although he played just a single minute in Qatar.

It’s unlikely the 18-year-old will leave in January, and so won’t be a part of Arsenal’s push to win an unlikely Premier League title.

However, Moukoko holding a secret meeting to try and sort out his future suggests there’s an uncertain few months ahead for the youngster.
