Ange Postecoglou has quickly become one of the hottest managerial properties in the Premier League.
The Australian has taken England by storm, and it’s been truly incredible to watch his Tottenham team this season.
Postecoglou has been so impressive that he’s being linked with a move to Manchester City now once Pep Guardiola leaves the Etihad, with Gary Neville talking up that idea.
However, speaking on the Optus Sport Football Podcast, Mark Schwarzer has been discussing Postecoglou’s next steps, and he says that he’s shocked that Manchester United aren’t being linked with Postecoglou as Erik ten Hag continues to falter.

Schwarzer shocked United aren’t being discussed with Postecoglou
Schwarzer spoke about the 58-year-old manager and his future.
“I’m surprised that Gary Neville wouldn’t be saying that Man United should get him. If they want to make a change that’s the person they should go for. If I was Man United I’d be thinking that I’d like to play like that and I want to have a bit of Ange Postecoglou,” Schwarzer said.
Would it make sense?
City are being spoken about as a next step for Ange Postecoglou because it’s a clear step up – after all, they are the treble-winning champions of Europe.
However, a move to Old Trafford at this point would arguably be a step down for Postecoglou.
United have untold issues behind the scenes, a playing squad that lacks character and quality and are below Spurs in the league.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have started to build in Postecoglou’s vision, and there is a real sense that they’re finally getting their acts together.
Of course, United are, historically, a much bigger club than Spurs, but, at the moment, we wouldn’t blame Postecoglou if he’d rather be the manager of Tottenham at this moment in time considering the bigger picture.
