'I'm afraid': Cascarino claims Tottenham technician will be sold after rumour about rival
Tony Cascarino told talkSPORT that Tottenham striker Harry Kane will be sold after rumours that Jack Grealish will leave Aston Villa for Manchester City.
It has been well-documented throughout the summer that Manchester City are eager to sign the gifted Spurs and Villa duo.
At this moment in time, it seems as though they have made a significant breakthrough with Grealish because a £100 million bid for his talents is expected to be accepted, as reported by Sky Sports.
And given that the ball-carrying expert is now one step away from leaving his boyhood club for the Premier League champions, Cascarino thinks Tottenham’s goalscoring technician is next.
“Manchester City are at a stage where they are now going to be buying the very best,” said Cascarino. “They have always been big spenders.
“I am afraid to say that it’s very hard to see Man City not getting Kane and Grealish because they have spent more than £200 million in the summer before.
“If they bought two of them, and that would go in excess of £200 million, then it wouldn’t be what they have done before.”
It’s football well and truly down the drain if Pep Guardiola manages to get his hands on both Kane and Grealish.
Some may argue that they should be the first two names on England’s teamsheet and to think they could possibly link up with Kevin de Bruyne is pretty remarkable.
Perhaps if they do the unthinkable and land both of their signatures then maybe if they reach another Champions League final then they can this time put the ball into the back of the net.
But it won’t be long before the upcoming Premier League season is going to be hyped to be something special, only for those at the Etihad to walk away with the title with their eyes closed.
