'If he's sold': Manager makes claim about what he'll do if club sell his player to Leeds
Valerenga boss Dag-Eliev Fagermo has promised that he will go and watch Leeds United if they sign Kristoffer Klaesson from his side this summer.
Leeds on the hunt
While speaking to EuroSport, Fagermo did not exactly dismiss recent reports that Leeds could move to sign Klaesson this summer.
Indeed, he actually suggested that he would be proud of the young stopper if he earned a move to Elland Road.
“If he is sold to Leeds, then I will be very proud of course,” said Fagermo. “At least then I’ll be over to visit him. He and Bielsa.”
Phil Hay has spoken on his podcast and said that Victor Orta is particularly keen on the idea of signing Klaesson.
A burgeoning reputation
The Norwegian may not have the biggest reputation in England, but at the age of 20 he has now been playing top level football for three years.
He is considered one of the best goalkeeping talents in his homeland and a move to a bigger league looks inevitable sooner rather than later.
If Leeds were to land him it would give them a very young collection of goalkeepers to head into the campaign with.
But with Ilian Meslier proving so impressive last term, Orta may well be hoping that he has found another gem to provide competition to the Frenchman, following Kiko Casilla’s departure.
