Jamie O’Hara has told TalkSPORT that Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte should start Richarlison in the club’s next home game.

The 25-year-old is yet to make a competitive start for Spurs under Antonio Conte, but he has impressed in his two substitute appearances so far.

Richarlison faces stiff competition for a place in Conte’s side with the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski all ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment.

But O’Hara thinks Conte should try to play all four of them in their next home game, even if that means coming away from his favourite system.

The pundit says Spurs are currently lacking creativity and should switch to a four-man defence in certain games.

O’Hara thinks Conte should start Richarlison

“I want to ask some Spurs fans about maybe going to a four at the back at home and trying to get them all in the side,” O’Hara said on TalkSPORT today.

“I feel like we need a bit more creativity in midfield. Playing 3-4-3, [Pierre-Emile] Hojbjerg and [Rodrigo] Bentancur, I think they struggle to get hold of the game. Wolves dominated us in midfield and I think that’s a problem for us. I know he loves that formation.”

O’Hara feels Conte should try to fit all four of Spurs’ attacking options in his starting eleven to try and solve the apparent creativity issues.

He added: “When you’ve got Richarlison on the bench, can you fit them all in? Can you get Kulusevski, Kane, Son and Richrlison in the team? The only way to do that is if you go four at the back.

“I’d just like to see if we can get him [Richarlison] in the team from the start. And that’s why I think maybe going to a four at home and we dominate more of the ball in midfield.

“See if we can get him in there. Can you put Kulusevski as a ten? Then Richarlison on the right and get all four of them in there. I’d like to see it.”

Conte certainly has a wealth of options at his disposal after a busy summer window at Tottenham.

And while his front-three seems set for the moment, the Italian will be happy to have different options from the bench.

Richarlison will undoubtedly get his chance at Spurs over the course of the season, especially as the club will be aiming to compete in four competitions.
