Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min has delivered his honest verdict on Dejan Kulusevski and his performances since January.

The Swede joined Spurs on loan from Juventus in the winter window and there were question marks over how he’d adapt. However, those doubts have all been thrown out of the window over the last three months.

Kulusevski has been absolutely incredible for Tottenham. He has only started 12 games but has scored three goals and assisted six more in a Spurs shirt so far.

Son was asked about the talented winger and the South Korean revealed that he was blown away by Kulusevski in their first-ever training session together.

Son Heung-min: Dejan Kulusevski really impressed me in first Tottenham training session

Speaking on Stadium Astro, Son said about Kulusevski: “He has something. At that young age, it’s not easy to be a Juventus player.

“When he trained the first time, it’s obviously not the best feeling because when new players come, you look at it by zooming in (at) what he’s good at and what he’s not good at. I was really impressed because it was a really good session from him in training.

“In the game, I know how tough the Premier League is and I suffer so much. I feel like I am still suffering because it’s the toughest league in the world.

“But Kulu had adapted really well after three months. Don’t forget, he has only been in the Premier League for three months. He’s really enjoying it and playing with freedom.”

TBR View:

Kulusevski is already a star for Tottenham and he has formed a phenomenal partnership up top alongside Harry Kane and Son.

However, the Swede is still only 22 and if he continues his development at the same rate, he will be twice the player he is now in just a few years’ time.

Tottenham are expected to make Kulusevski’s move permanent in the summer. That is the right thing to do and the youngster could make the right-wing spot his own for the next decade.

Tottenham take on Leicester City tomorrow and Kulusevski is likely to start on that right flank again.
