Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus couldn’t have asked for a better start to life at The Emirates.
The Gunners new number nine has gone straight into Mikel Arteta’s team as his first-choice striker.
Speaking to Rio Ferdinand for BT Sport, Jesus reflected on his season so far, and what’s to come.
The 25-year-old has impressed everyone since his arrival from Manchester City in the summer.

His teammates have been impressed not just with his performances on the pitch, but how he trains as well.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright says he’s never seen Jesus play worse than an eight out of 10 this season.
All in all, the Brazilian has enjoyed a very positive start to life at Arsenal.
Ferdinand asked Jesus how many goals he was hoping to score this season.
Jesus replied: “I want to score 30 goals in the season.”
Jesus wants to score 30 goals this season
It’s an ambitious target for the 25-year-old, and one Arsenal fans will be excited to hear.
Jesus’ record in one season was set in 2019/20 when he scored 23 goals in all competitions.
His six goals in eight Champions League matches that season was especially impressive.
However, with Arteta keen to rest Jesus during the Europa League group stages, many of his goals will need to come in the league.

The Brazilian already has five goals and three assists in his eight league appearances so far.
Jesus is not quite on track to reach 30 goals right now.
However, as Arsenal progress further in the three cup competitions this season, Jesus will be more involved.
If Jesus can hit his 30-goal target, Arsenal will be in a very strong position this season.
It’s going to be interesting to see if they can maintain their early season title challenge.
However, they’re playing their best football in years, and much of that is due to the introduction of Jesus.
