Liverpool have enjoyed the perfect start to this season.

Indeed, while the Reds have had to rely on late goals at times, they have won every single game they have played so far this season.

There have been some teething issues with some of the Reds’ new signings.

Florian Wirtz has had a slow start to life at Anfield, while Milos Kerkez has struggled at times too.

However, Hugo Ekitike has been brilliant, and speaking to Stan Sports, the striker has been discussing his adaptation to life at Anfield.

According to the forward, Ibrahima Konate has been a huge help for him since arriving on Merseyside.

Ibrahima Konate has helped Hugo Ekitike

Ekitike spoke about his start to life in the Premier League.

The former Frankfurt star says that his teammates have really helped him so far, noting that Ibrahima Konate has been the most important of these players.

Indeed, Ekitike says the £36m man has helped him a lot off the pitch, while other players have perhaps been more important in terms of helping him score goals.

“I have good players around me, they make it easy. The most important person when I came here was Ibou to be honest. He’s been here for four years, he knows everything here, he knows the people. He helped me a lot with everything off the pitch. On the pitch other players helped me more, but yeah, Ibou has been really important for me here,” Ekitike said.

Hugo Ekitike has struggled after a big move before

Ekitike has hit the ground running at Liverpool, and that’s a great sign.

Indeed, Ekitike is a quality striker, but sometimes, even the most talented players can be overawed by these sorts of moves.

Ekitike himself has been in this boat before. A few years ago he got what could have been a career-defining move to PSG, but he struggled in Paris.

Ekitike never settled at PSG, and that led to his departure, but, at Liverpool, the striker appears to already be in a good stride and Konate has seriously helped that development.

Liverpool may well have a future superstar on their hands here.
