Scott Brown has said that he would love to see Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney return to Celtic.

The former Celtic star has given his take on whether Tierney could return to Celtic Park one day.

So, what has Scott Brown said about Celtic and Kieran Tierney? Let’s take a look.

Scott Brown would love Kieran Tierney back at Celtic

Well, Scott Brown has been raving about Kieran Tierney. The pundit played with the Scotland international left-back at Celtic, and he would love to see him go back to the Scottish club.

Tierney was on the books of Celtic from 2005 until 2019 when he moved to Arsenal for £25 million (The Glasgow Evening Times).

During his time at the Hoops, the left-back won the Scottish Premiership title four times, the Scottish Cup on two occasions, and the Scottish League Cup twice.

Tierney has not had the best of times at Arsenal and had injury issues as well. He is now on loan at Real Sociedad in Spain.

Former Celtic and Scotland international midfielder Brown believes that the £110,000-a-week (SalarySport) left-back could eventually return to the Hoops.

Brown told The Glasgow Evening Times about Tierney: “I’d love to see him back at Celtic, I would. He’s loved by all the fans and it’s such a huge club for him. It was a hard decision for him to leave because the club means so much to him.

“But at the same time he’s been away for that long now and experienced different things. Maybe he wants to experience other things now.

“There are a lot of clubs in England who’d take him. In fact, there are clubs all over the world who would take him, to be perfectly honest. But Celtic have that pull over him which is a great thing. I’d love to see it happen one day. You never know.”

Celtic return is unlikely anytime soon

In my view, Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is unlikely to go back to Celtic anytime soon.

Tierney is 26 now and has his best years ahead of him. The left-back has already proven that he can do well in the Premier League. Aston Villa have been linked with him.

The left-back is now playing in La Liga. I do not see why Tierney would go back to the Scottish Premiership at this stage of his career.

Perhaps in his mid-30s or even early 30s, Tierney could potentially go back to Celtic, but for now, I do not see him making a return to Glasgow.
