Exclusive: Oliver Glasner managed to persuade Steve Parish to keep Marc Guehi

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent for TBR Football – has now been informed that it was the Austrian who ultimately managed to convince the Crystal Palace chairman not to sell the club captain.

Crystal Palace now risk losing Guehi on a free transfer when his contract expires in 2026.

Bailey has told TBR Football: “Crystal Palace have called this deal off – Marc Guehi has been told he is not going.

“I am told that Oliver Glasner has persuaded Steve Parish that he cannot let him go.

“Guehi has accepted the decision. Glasner is very happy. He didn’t offer to quit outright but I am told he did suggest it.”
