TBR Football can exclusively confirm how much Ederson stands to earn at Galatasaray after his camp agreed personal terms with the Turkish giants.

The Manchester City goalkeeper has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium for some time now.

With just 12 months left on his contract, City are in a position where they must either sell Ederson this summer, tie him down to a new deal, or risk losing him for nothing next year.

Now, TBR Football can confirm the latest developments around the Ederson saga and what the player himself thinks about a potential move to Istanbul.

Ederson stands to become the world’s highest-paid goalkeeper if he joins Galatasaray

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Galatasaray have agreed personal terms with Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson.

Gala have been looking for a new number one all summer after their Uruguayan star Fernando Muslera called time on his 14-year career in Turkey at the end of last season.

The Turkish champions had big plans for this summer and that was headed by their plan to lure Victor Osimhen back to Istanbul and they have achieved that.

Now a new goalkeeper is their prime focus and they have narrowed down that chase to Ederson and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

As we have revealed, intermediaries are working on Donnarumma’s future and have held talks with a number of clubs around Europe, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea.

City, for their part, have already brought back James Trafford to the club, primarily to challenge Ederson for the number one jersey, as they have informed number two Stefan Ortega he could leave.

However, their plans could now change as we can confirm that Ederson’s entourage have now agreed personal terms with Gala.

Ederson has been offered similar terms to Osimhen – which would make him the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world.

Ederson and City had held talks about a new deal earlier this summer, with just 12 months left on the 31-year-old’s deal.

He has previously agreed terms to move to the Saudi Pro League last summer, but that deal was called off, and City and Ederson agreed to talk terms this year.

However, both sides have backed away from that plan and Ederson could now be heading to the exit door at the Etihad.

We can confirm Ederson is ready to move to Turkiye and Galatasaray have already had contact with City and are ready to put cash on the table.

Ederson is out of contract next year and this could be City’s final chance to get money back for him.

How much Victor Osimhen will earn at Galatasaray

When Galatasaray announced the signing of Osimhen, they also revealed how much the Nigeria international is set to earn at the club.

They confirmed that Osimhen will receive a net guaranteed salary of €15million (£13million) per season.

Osimhen will also get a net loyalty bonus of €1million (£865,000) per season and €5million (£4.3million) as image rights payments.

Combined, this works out at around £18,165,000 per season, or around £350,000 per week, with his net guaranteed salary working out at £250,000-a-week.

Ederson is reported to be on £100,000-a-week at Man City, so if he received the same terms as Osimhen, his overall pay would be around 3.5 times what he’s on now.
