How much Chelsea will receive for Joao Felix as Al-Nassr agree deal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s help

Al-Nassr have agreed terms with Chelsea to sign Joao Felix, and TBR Football is told the figure that Enzo Maresca and his Chelsea side will receive for the forward.

Felix has been the subject of transfer speculation all summer, with the Portuguese international not on Maresca’s list of players to utilise this season at Stamford Bridge.

Felix signed for Chelsea for around £46m from Atletico Madrid in August 2024, but it never worked out in the Premier League for the striker.

Now, he’s Saudi-bound, and a lot of that is down to the help of his international teammate, Ronaldo.

Sources: Chelsea to receive £40m for Joao Felix

Al-Nassr have agreed terms with Chelsea to sign Felix for a fee of around £40m. Graeme Bailey tells TBR Football that Cristiano Ronaldo played a major role in getting the deal done.

Felix has been in talks with Benfica about a return to the Estadio Da Luz, and Chelsea were gearing up to accept a loan deal with the Portuguese giants, struggling to agree terms given he has six years left on his deal.

However, Benfica were the only team Felix was interested in – until earlier this week when Al-Nassr joined the hunt, after Ronaldo made it known to the club’s hierarchy that he was available.

Now, after talks, Felix has agreed to join Al-Nassr and will link up with Ronaldo.

Joao Felix’s total career spend is over £200m

After the Al-Nassr deal goes through, this will now mean that, at the ripe age of 25, over £200m will have been spent on Felix across his career, as shown below.

From → ToTypeFee (GBP)
Benfica → Atlético MadridPermanent£113 million (from €127.2m)

Atlético Madrid → BarcelonaLoan(loan, fee not publicly disclosed in GBP)

A quite ridiculous figure, all things considered. Felix will now take to the Saudi Pro League, after underwhelming returns in Europe.
