How Aaron Ramsdale actually feels about leaving Arsenal and joining Wolves before deadline day

Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale has been heavily linked with a move to Wolves this summer.

The Englishman was an unused substitute in the Gunners’ opening game of the new Premier League season against, ironically, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

David Raya shocked Wolves boss Gary O’Neil in that game with a stunning save, and that proved to everyone that he’s still at the top of his game.

Ramsdale will have to settle for a number two role if he stays at Arsenal this summer. Or, he could go to Wolves before the window shuts.

GiveMeSport have shared the latest on the situation.

Aaron Ramsdale’s stance on joining Wolves from Arsenal

Despite what has happened with Ramsdale over the last 11 months, he is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

The England international was named in the PFA Team of the Year in 2023 after a truly incredible campaign for the Gunners.

Raya’s arrival at Arsenal changed everything for Ramsdale, and it’s clear now that he doesn’t have a future at the Emirates Stadium.

That’s why the 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from North London, and a number of clubs are keen to sign him.

Wolves have had a loan offer for Ramsdale rejected by Arsenal, but there is still time left in the window to improve their bid.

GMS now claim that Ramsdale is ‘attracted’ by the prospect of joining Wolves and working under O’Neil because he ‘likes the Wolves head coach’s vision and personality in the dugout’.

However, as things stand, Ramsdale has ‘delayed making a final decision on his future’ because ‘he wants to play at the highest level possible’.

He’s keeping his options open as we enter the final days of the window.

Arsenal are very likely to be left disappointed

Arsenal are willing to let Ramsdale leave and that has been the case since the transfer window opened back in June.

However, there has always been one problem.

Arsenal have demanded £50 million for Ramsdale this summer, which has made him too expensive for most of the clubs interested in his signature.

However, as we enter the final stages of the window, it is very likely that Arsenal will either have to accept to smaller fee or agree to loan him out.

That is disappointing for Arsenal, but there’s not a lot they can do about it.
