Micah Richards has heaped praise on Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, a player who has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal.

The talented Frenchman had an outstanding game against Sheffield United this week. Richards was really impressed with him and is convinced that the reported Arsenal target is a ‘superstar’ in the making.

Michael Olise is one of the most exciting young wingers in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old has been amazing for Crystal Palace. He directly contributed to 13 goals last season, and already has nine to his name this time around – even though he has only played 10 games.

The Frenchman has been linked with plenty of clubs recently. Chelsea pushed hard to sign him last summer, while Arsenal and Manchester United are keen to lure him in at the end of the season.

Reports have even claimed that Olise would rather join the Gunners over Erik ten Hag’s side, which tells us that he is open to a move away from Palace soon.

Speaking about Olise on The Rest is Football podcast, Micah Richards said: “He is going to be world-class.

“He’s just one of them young players who need to be guided in the right way when he leaves Palace, no disrespect to Palace fans, they probably want that money at some stage to rebuild anyway.

“But when he leaves, if he picks the right team where he’s allowed to express himself, he’s going to be a superstar. He’s that good.

“I remember watching him at the Etihad a couple of seasons ago. It’s not just his dribbling, it’s his decision-making – when to lay off the ball and his first touch is sublime. Yeah, he’s going to the very top.”

Olise would be a great signing for Arsenal

Arsenal fans have been crying out for a new left-footed right-winger to compete with and provide cover for Bukayo Saka.

Mikel Arteta, so far, has focused on strengthening other areas of the pitch instead, but he will have to address this issue at some point.

Michael Olise would be a fantastic option for the Gunners. He can score goals, provide assists, is a great dribbler and has experience in the Premier League as well.

He has all the qualities to become a star in the coming years, and we really think Arsenal should push to sign him in the summer.
