Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix in recent weeks.
The Gunners have been looking for attacking reinforcements during the January transfer window.
Arsenal have been lacking a cutting edge since Gabriel Jesus was sidelined due to injury.

Although Mykhaylo Mudryk is Arsenal’s main target, there were also reports suggesting the Gunners wanted Felix too.
However, the Blues appear to have won the battle for the Portuguese talent ahead of the Emirates Stadium outfit.
Fabrizio Romano, writing on both Twitter and CaughtOffside, has declared “here we go” on Felix to Chelsea.
Romano also explained on CaughtOffside that Arsenal were offered the chance to sign Felix.
However, he said “the priority has always been Mykhaylo Mudryk.”
Meanwhile, CBS journalist Ben Jacobs elaborated on why the Gunners appeared to ease off in their pursuit of Felix.
Arsenal reportedly didn’t want to pay more than £5million in loan fees for the Atleti forward.
Likewise, Manchester United apparently made an approach for Felix – £3.5million.
Neither side opted to match Atletico’s demands as they ‘didn’t see value’, Jacobs wrote on Twitter.
Chelsea will reportedly pay a loan fee of £9million, plus 100 percent of Felix’s wages (£5.3million).

And so, Arsenal appear to have missed out on a ‘world-class‘ forward.
At the same time, they haven’t paid a fairly high price for a player who they won’t keep hold of come the end of the season.
With Chelsea signing Felix, could this mean Arsenal effectively have an unopposed path to landing Mudryk this month?
Out of the two, the Mudryk signing certainly makes more sense.

He’d be a permament signing, for one. Also, he’s younger than Felix, and absolutely loves Arsenal.
We’re 10 days into the January transfer window, so there’s still a fair bit of time for the Gunners to land Mudryk.
If it does happen, then it could well be a case of ‘Felix who?’ for Arsenal fans.
