Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of selling Steven Bergwijn to Ajax.
The Spurs winger has been linked with a departure from N17 for a number of months now.
And now, there has apparently been a breakthrough in negotiations between Tottenham and the Dutch giants.

Romano took to Twitter to declare “here we go” on Bergwijn to Ajax.
Tottenham will apparently receive €30m (£25.8m), the fee Fabio Paratici has always wanted for the 24-year-old.
Bergwijn will then undergo a medical on Wednesday ahead of joining the Eredivisie champions.
Personal terms ‘were agreed’ with Ajax ‘since long time’, added Romano.
Although things haven’t really worked out for Bergwijn at Tottenham, there’s no doubt he’s a great player.
This move is definitely the best thing for all parties and there’s every chance he’ll prosper back in the Netherlands.
Bergwijn, deemed “brilliant” by Danny Murphy, is quick, good on the ball, and clinical in front of goal.
At the same time, Paratici has done really well to negotiate such a high fee for him.
Spurs paid around £27m for Bergwijn, so they’ll be recouping most of that.
