Tottenham need a new centre-back in January.
The recent injury to Micky Van de Ven and the recent suspension for Cristian Romero has underlined just how little depth Spurs have at the back, and that needs addressing soon.
Tottenham have been linked with a number of potential signing in the January window, with the likes of Jean-Clair Todibo and Radu Dragusin named as targets.
Tosin Adarabioyo is a player that Spurs have long been keen on, and according to Alasdair Gold, speaking on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, the 26-year-old would be open for a move to Tottenham should all parties agree to a deal.

Tosin would happily join Spurs
Gold shared what he knows about the defender.
“We’ve spoken about Tosin Adarabioyo at Fulham, Spurs have certainly retained an interest there. He’s an interesting one, like Eric Dier he’s available in the summer, I understand that if all parties were able to agree a deal he would be up for the move to Spurs, but financially it probably wouldn’t benefit him as much,” Gold said.
Great option
Tosin Adarabioyo could be exactly what Spurs need.
The centre-back is perfect for Ange Postecoglou, he’s a truly expansive defender who loves to play out from the back, and he possesses plenty of pace that will help him play in Postecoglou’s high line.
Adarabioyo was, of course, schooled at Manchester City, and that fact has helped him retain that Pep Guardiola-esque calmness on the ball and willingness to play out from the back.
The comparisons between Guardiola’s and Postecoglou’s styles have been there since day one, and Tosin coming to Spurs would make the world of sense.
The defender’s contract is up in the summer, so a potential bargain move in January could be on the cards.
This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on heading into the winter window.
