Richarlison is finally hitting a bit of form at Tottenham.
The Brazilian, famously, scored just one goal for Spurs last season, and he didn’t get off to the best of starts this term either.
However, he’s seemingly found his shooting boots recently, banging in some important goals against both Newcastle and Nottingham Forest.
Speaking on his podcast, Eamon Dunphy and John Giles have been discussing Richarlison’s recent resurgence, and they both agree that there’s been a huge turnaround in the attacker’s form.

Richarlison has transformed
Dunphy and Giles shared their verdict on the attacker.
“He’s transferred that calmness and confidence to his players. In particular to Richarlison who scored the first goal on Friday night. He was a waste of space and we watched him for years. He’s a Brazilian, he’s moody, but he’s playing out of his skin now, is that down to the coach do you think?” Dunphy said.
“He was a disaster really at Everton, and the same at Spurs, but he’s scoring goals the way Spurs expected him to score goals, they’ve made a big change with him,” Giles said.
Exciting
It’s exciting to see Richarlison playing in this way.
Regardless of what Giles says, the Brazilian was very good at Everton, and he’s shown with Brazil that he can turn up in these big games and make a difference.
Football is a confidence game, and Richarlison finally seems to have rediscovered his smile after playing with the weight of the world on his shoulders over the past 18 months.
The Brazilian is looking better than he ever has in a Tottenham shirt, and we can only hope this will continue, and who knows? Perhaps his form could even improve once James Maddison is back from injury and Spurs’ attacking unit is, once again, complete.
Richarlison finally seems to be on the right track at Tottenham.
