‘He is coming’, ‘Let’s gooo’: Tottenham fans think 29-year-old is signing

Tottenham fans are already looking forward to a busy January with Antonio Conte at the helm and some Spurs supporters think that Inter Milan defender, Stefan de Vrij, could be signing.

De Vrij is one of a number of players to be linked with a move to Tottenham in recent weeks. It comes in the midst of Conte taking over, and the promise of new players for the Italian coach.

Speaking last night, De Vrij told Dutch television that he was aware of the links, but seemed to play down any talk of a move.

“The connection was maybe made a bit quickly because the trainer I have worked with is now working there. But I don’t know anything. He (Conte) hasn’t approached me about it yet,” the Dutchman said.

However, that’s not stopped some Tottenham fans on Twitter thinking that it’s all bit of a red herring. In fact. there’s plenty out there who think this is De Vrij essentially saying he’s coming!
