'Hasn't learned': TalkSPORT pundit doesn't like what he's heard West Ham United player say after Chelsea defeat

TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan called out West Ham United captain Declan Rice for his comments after their match against Chelsea.

It was a match that ended in controversy after a last-minute West Ham equaliser was ruled out.

The referee was told to go and look at the monitor and ruled there was a foul against Chelsea keeper Edouard Mendy.

West Ham left Stamford Bridge empty handed, and Rice and West Ham manager David Moyes called out the referee for his performance.

Rice tweeted: “That’s up there with one of the worst VAR decisions made since it’s come into the game. Shambles.

“Can’t believe the referee has even been asked to go take a look at the monitor! Cannot see how they’ve come to that decision.” Rice continued.

The Premier League’s refereeing body has since admitted that the decision to disallow the goal was incorrect.

However, Jordan believes Rice should be careful what he says, and called out the midfielder on TalkSPORT.

Jordan calls out Rice over comments

Speaking to Jim White, Jordan said: “He hasn’t learned his lesson, has he?

“He’s just got himself sanctioned recently for flapping his gums about a referee.

“He’ll appeal to the masses, ‘Oh, well done Declan for saying it’, but keep your council.

“Decisions are made, you make plenty of bad ones, you got sanctioned about six months ago for calling a ref a cheat.”

Simon Jordan was referring to comments made by Rice after they were eliminated from the Europa League last season.

Rice accused the referee of corruption after Aaron Cresswell was sent off against Frankfurt.

The West Ham captain will feel vindicated in his comments after the Premier League admitted their mistake.

Dermot Gallagher also admitted that the referee made a mistake when speaking on Sky Sports.

However, Jordan calling out Rice for his criticism may be in order to protect the player from further scrutiny.

On a weekend of very controversial refereeing decisions, Maxwel Cornet’s goal may just be at the top of the list.
