Jurgen Klopp has spoken about the injury suffered by Diogo Jota during Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Benfica last night.
Klopp was asked at his pre-match press conference for a fitness update on his squad ahead of this Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.
The German said that Jota had experienced some swelling but said there is a ‘good chance’ he will be fit to play in the Wembley showdown.

“I said last night that Diogo had a knock and that swole up slightly after the game while I was in the press conference.
“Diogo has a good chance that he will be alright but we need to have a closer look tomorrow. That’s it.”
Klopp said after the game last night that Virgil van Dijk is fit and Mo Salah had a small knock but that he should be fine.

Jota scored in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with City, and was described as ‘perfect‘ by Sky Sports’ pundit Micah Richards after that goal.
He is a key player for this Liverpool side, although they have options who can replace him and made changes last night to keep the side fresh.
Sadio Mane and Jota scored against City last time out and we are waiting for Salah to catch fire again, which could easily happen at Wembley this weekend.
