Harry Redknapp stunned Conte hasn't got a tune out of Tottenham man

Harry Redknapp has told talkSPORT that he finds it amazing just how far Dele Alli has fallen, with Antonio Conte becoming the latest Tottenham Hotspur boss to struggle to get the best out of the midfielder.

Dele missed an opportunity to impress at the weekend. He was named in the starting lineup for the FA Cup tie with Morecambe. However, it proved to be an underwhelming showing for the 25-year-old.

There had been positive signs for Dele under Conte. He produced a hugely encouraging display in the superb 2-2 draw with Liverpool last month. But he has not kicked on since then.

And unfortunately, that has become a familiar tale for Dele. Many will remember his performance at West Ham in Tottenham’s first game under Jose Mourinho. But there seemed to be little to shout about from there.

It now remains to be seen what the immediate future holds for Dele at Tottenham. And Redknapp expressed his disappointment over what has happened to the England international in the last few years.

“I just find it amazing,” he told talkSPORT. “I was such a fan of his. They keep changing managers now, but no-one can seem to get a tune out of him anymore.

“I just don’t know what’s happened to the boy. It’s such a shame. We keep thinking Conte will get him going, Mourinho, someone will get him going, but it’s not happening at the moment.”

Dele Alli should be pushing for Tottenham exit in January as struggles continues

Tottenham are reportedly open to letting Dele go. However, it was reported that they are yet to receive any concrete offers this month.

It has been suggested that Everton may yet consider making a move before the deadline passes. And Dele should arguably be looking to do all he can to secure a move away.

As Redknapp suggests, he has shown that he has an incredible amount of talent. And a change of scenery could be something of a last roll of the dice as he looks to become that player once again.

It would obviously benefit Tottenham if Dele rediscovered his best form out on loan. They could either sell him for a lot more money, or potentially look at giving him one final chance.

But it would also be brilliant for Dele if he enjoyed a successful loan spell away from Tottenham. He could have several more years at the highest level ahead of him if it clicks.
