Harry Redknapp has said that Tottenham desperately need a result and are missing their ‘best player’ James Maddison massively.
Maddison is among a cluster of Spurs players currently out injured. Since he went down, Tottenham have struggled for results are currently five without a win after being beaten by West Ham last night.
For Ange Postecoglou, it’s a new problem to deal with after what has been a predominantly impressive and positive start to life as Spurs boss.

And speaking about his former club, ex-boss Harry Redknapp believes the injuries are killing Spurs and Maddison’s absence in particular is an issue.
Speaking on TalkSPORT today, Redknapp admitted that losing Maddison – who he believes is Spurs’ best player – has killed the team.
“Tottenham, a few injuries have killed them. They have lost their best player. Maddison was the man pulling all the strings. Lost the two centre halves, one of them back last night, but the other lad still missing and they have not looked the same team at the moment. They need a result,” Redknapp said.
James Maddison is among Tottenham’s best players
He might have only been there a few months but it’s hard to argue with Redknapp’s assessment on Maddison here.
The midfielder has been nothing short of superb since he signed and alongside the likes of Cristian Romero and Heung-Min Son, he’s definitely among the top dogs at Spurs now.
Maddison will be itching to come back to the fold ASAP and help his team out. It must be so frustrating for him to watch what’s happened since he got injured.
Hopefully, he can get back after Christmas and it will feel like a new signing for Tottenham.
January is always a difficult window to navigate and getting key players back can sometimes be just as important to some teams.
