Harry Redknapp predicts where Tottenham will finish in the Premier League this season

With Tottenham Hotspur enjoying a busy January, Harry Redknapp has now predicted where they’ll finish in the Premier League this season.

Ange Postecoglou’s side made a stellar start to the season, only to be briefly derailed by some disruptive injuries and suspensions.

However, with players now close to returning from injury and deals for Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin looking very promising, there’s huge reason for optimism.

Without speaking too soon, a spot in the top four looks a certainty if Spurs keep playing this exciting brand of football in the coming months.

And when speaking on talkSPORT earlier today, Redknapp actually didn’t get too carried away with where Tottenham may end up in the Premier League.

The former Spurs boss did point to James Maddison’s condition as a big decider this year, as well as other players returning.

Redknapp said: “Maddison was a big loss, when he went out the side.

“He was absolutely playing so well. But when they get him back, the centre halves have both been out suspended or injured.

“But when they get their full squad again, I think Tottenham can make the top four this season. I could see them finishing fourth.”

Perhaps some Spurs fans will think Redknapp is being a little pessimistic.

There’s no doubt that Tottenham fans would accept Champions League football as progress this season – but are there definitely three teams better than them?

Perhaps Manchester City and Liverpool will be runaway title challengers, but Arsenal have definitely lost their momentum.


Postecoglou’s side will now be confident that they’ll be right among their North London rivals when the season ends.

Incidentally, the next North London Derby won’t come until 27th April, which could be a huge important point in the season.

Redknapp’s Premier League prediction aside, Tottenham have their focus firmly on the January transfer window right now.

And in a day of movement it seems one Tottenham player may now be about to leave
