Harry Kane reacts to Fabio Paratici comments
Harry Kane has told talkSPORT that it is great to hear the comments and recent praise from Spurs director Fabio Paratici, insisting that every player wants to feel loved by those at their club.
Kane, of course, is facing an uncertain future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It has been claimed that he is keen to join Manchester City this summer.
Obviously, with Euro 2020 ongoing, talk about his future is on the back burner. But it seems that those at Tottenham know how important it is that he stays.
Paratici insisted that it is Spurs’ goal to keep him. He also labelled the 27-year-old really special, and claimed that he could not wait to watch him live.
And Kane went on to suggest that he was flattered by the comments, insisting that that is what you want to hear as a player.
“Of course as a player you want to be wanted, you want to feel like you’re loved, which I do,” he told talkSPORT.
“I haven’t had the chance to talk to any of these people yet. I’m sure we’ll get to know each other after the tournament, have a phone call or two once I get a week or two of holiday.
“To get praise from big people from football is great, it gives you confidence, it gives you motivation so of course it’s nice to hear.”
Harry Kane response to Paratici comments highlights problem admirers may have
Understandably, Daniel Levy is not going to let Kane leave without a fight. As Paratici notes, the England captain is one of the best in the world.
And Kane’s response to Paratici’s comments arguably the problem his admirers may have.
Kane does not appear to be willing to burn his bridges with Tottenham to force a move. And should he stay, it is hard to see him downing tools.
Obviously, tough conversations are going to take place behind the scenes. But Tottenham’s hand is only going to be strengthened by Kane speaking about Paratici in such positive terms.
