Report names club Spurs star Harry Kane wants to join
Harry Kane wants to join Manchester City after making it clear that he wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, with the Daily Mirror reporting that the striker believes that the Premier League champions are about to make a bid.
After months of speculation, Kane appears to be closer to the Spurs exit than he has been at any stage during his career.
The Daily Mirror reports that he has informed Tottenham that he wants to leave the club this summer. And it seems that it has not taken long for a queue of clubs to form.
According to the Mirror, Manchester United and Chelsea both want Kane. But it is claimed that City are leading the charge for his signature.
In fact, the Daily Mirror reports that he is keen to move to the Etihad Stadium. And he reportedly believes that City are about to make a bid for the 27-year-old.
TBR View: Plenty of hurdles for City to still clear
Of course, much will depend on Daniel Levy. The Tottenham chief is not going to make it easy for Kane to get his way and leave the club.
He would surely rather sell the striker to a foreign club if he does have to go. So Pep Guardiola’s men still have plenty of hurdles to clear before Kane is playing in sky blue next season.
But the developments of the last 24 hours will surely give them plenty of encouragement.
