Tottenham brought in Antonio Conte to push the club back into the top-four but it looks like the Italian has lost faith in his side’s chances already.
Spurs are currently eighth in the Premier League table at the moment, seven points behind fourth-place Manchester United. They’ve lost three games on the bounce already and things could get even worse this weekend.
Tottenham travel to Manchester City to take on the defending Premier League champions. City have been absolutely incredible this season and they will be the favourites to win again on Saturday.
Another defeat could end Tottenham’s top-four dreams, which is probably why Conte rates his side’s chances at just one per cent.
Conte: Tottenham have ‘one per cent’ chance of finishing in top-four
The Italian said on beIN Sport: “In the past, I’ve always said that I have to feel to have only one per cent the possibility to win the league.
“Here, the situation is strange because maybe I feel the one per cent possibility to have the ambition to finish fourth. The situation is totally different, totally different (compared to his previous clubs).
“The level of this league is very high and there is not a lot of space in this moment for other teams than the top teams.”

Spurs fans fully agree with their manager
It’s never ideal for a manager to come and play down his own side’s chance of success but Conte has always been a realist and his latest comments are spot on.
Tottenham are nowhere near as good as Conte would like them to be and Spurs fans agree with their manager saying they only have a one per cent chance of finishing in the top four.
Here’s how a few of them reacted on Twitter…
