Granit Xhaka has issued his support to Arsenal star Kai Havertz after the early criticism he faced following his move to the Emirates in the summer.
Nobody knows how to deal with and overcome criticism better than Xhaka. The Swiss international dealt with everything that was thrown at him at Arsenal but still managed to come out on top. He is a real inspiration, and he’s hoping Havertz can emulate him in the coming months and years.

Granit Xhaka hoping Arsenal’s Kai Havertz proves his doubters wrong
Arsenal signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea in a move that confused many.
The German has always been a talented player, but his time at Stamford Bridge, despite scoring the Champions League winner, was an underwhelming one.
Not many people understood why Mikel Arteta was so keen to sign Havertz, and the 24-year-old’s difficult start to the season attracted a ton of criticism.
Havertz has been much better over the last month, and Granit Xhaka has noticed that. He has now come out and claimed that he’s hoping the German will make his critics ‘eat their words’ by becoming a star at Arsenal.
Xhaka told The Athletic: “I know what it’s like for Kai, when people on the outside are a little bit nervous and the fans get restless. He just needs to stay calm.
“It’s a new position for him and it takes time to fully understand Mikel’s philosophy. But he’s getting better all the time and his confidence is coming back now. Everyone knows his potential but having the confidence of your club, your manager and your team-mates is everything.
“You always need that backing. Arsenal supporters sometimes can take a bit of persuading to change their minds. But at the end, I won them around. I hope for Kai that he will do the same, and that the critics will eat their words.”

Havertz is already proving people wrong
Kai Havertz’s performances for Arsenal over the last month or so have been fantastic.
The German finally looks settled in Mikel Arteta’s system, and he has scored in four of his last seven appearances for the Gunners.
Several people are already changing their opinion on Havertz, but there are still many who aren’t fully convinced he can carry this kind of form in the long run.
Havertz’s job now is to continue doing what he’s doing, and if he does that, we’re sure many more people will eat their words in the coming months.
