Pundit Ally McCoist has now been sharing thoughts on one of Mikel Arteta’s controversial summer signings at Arsenal.
McCoist was speaking on talkSPORT this morning and said he always liked one Arsenal forward despite the criticism he’s received.

Kai Havertz, who was named Arsenal’s Player of the Month for November, is now showing the form of a £65m signing.
And McCoist thinks wide-spread criticism of Havertz from Arsenal fans and pundits alike has been unfair.
He said: “I think he’s been unfairly judged. I’ve got to say I think his form’s been excellent in November and he probably deserves it [player of the month].
“He’s come up with key goals, I’ve always liked him, I’ve got to say I’ve always liked him not as a centre-forward at all but coming off the right-hand side or number ten.
“And I’ve got to say he’s played in the middle with [Martin] Odegaard and they’ve got a front three and obviously a centre-forward Arsenal and he just looks like he’s enjoying it a lot more.
“The question is has he been unfairly judged, no is the answer to that question because initially everybody was wanting more from him, Arsenal fans in particular.
“And I think now there’s still a long way to go and I don’t think we’ve seen the real Havertz yet but there has been steady improvement, he’s had a month in November, I think he’s deserved that player of the month but he has to keep it going, he has to sustain it.”
Ally McCoist still thinks there’s much more to come from Kai Havertz at Arsenal
Of course, many are now having to back-track on their comments regarding Arsenal’s number 29.
Havertz has obviously been enduring a transitional period since joining Arsenal, learning an entirely new position.

But given his footballing intelligence and attributes, he was always going to adapt.
And Ally McCoist is right in suggesting that Havertz was judged far too quickly at Arsenal, a player who became needlessly polarsing.
Furthermore, it does now seem as if the German is increasingly becoming a figure of leadership and responsibility at Arsenal.
Something has clearly changed in Havertz’s mind-set, he suddenly looks confident, and even has a positive bit of arrogance about his demeanour.
And following the frustrating defeat against Aston Villa, Havertz was one of the first to send a reassuring message to fans.
Despite that unfortunate loss, it does seem to all be coming together for Arsenal.
And although Mikel Arteta may make up to eight changes tonight, Havertz may actually keep his spot against PSV Eindhoven.
