Alasdair Gold has told his YouTube channel that he is not convinced that Fabio Paratici is desperate to sign Paulo Dybala for Tottenham Hotspur based on what he has heard about the links with the forward.
Dybala has put a host of European sides on alert in recent weeks. He is set to become a free agent at the end of the season after deciding that he does not want to sign a new contract with Juventus.

He has been brilliant for Juve. The Argentinian has scored 113 goals and contributed 48 assists in 283 games for the Old Lady in all competitions.
So it is no surprise that a raft of teams want Dybala. And one of those reportedly in the running is Spurs.
In fact, it was recently reported that there is a chance that Tottenham lead the race to sign Dybala. Antonio Conte’s men do need further depth in attack. And for many supporters, Dybala would seem like the perfect option.

However, Gold has now commented on reports. And he has hinted that he is not sure that the Tottenham hierarchy are that keen to bring Dybala to North London.
“I’ve seen some reports say Fabio Paratici is a huge fan and wants him desperately. From what I’ve been hearing, I don’t know if he is that desperate to sign him,” he told his YouTube channel.
“It may come down to the fact of whether Conte really wants him. If Conte does, maybe they’ll push that bit harder.”
Tottenham fans may be divided as Gold hints Dybala move may be unlikely
Tottenham have an amazing forward line right now. And with that, Conte may be wary of using some of his budget on Dybala. He will certainly not come cheap, even on a free transfer.
He has struggled with injuries in the past. And he turns 29 later this year. So there are some reasons to potentially steer clear.
But Tottenham not pursuing Dybala may not sit well with a lot of fans. There are not many better players available on a free transfer this summer. And his career record is outstanding. Mauricio Pochettino previously labelled him ‘special‘.
Certainly, it will not go down well if Dybala moves elsewhere in the Premier League and absolutely tears it up.
