Jermaine Jenas says that Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg wanted to be substituted off against Eintracht Frankfurt last night.
Spurs won 3-2 to go to the top of their Champions League group with two matches remaining, seeing out some nervy closing stages.
It is a frantic period of fixtures and Jenas said on BT Sport commentary around the 84 minute mark that the Danish international looked like he wanted a rest.
He did get the last five minutes off, before Harry Kane missed a stoppage time penalty to make the game absolutely safe.

Jenas on Hojbjerg
Jenas said of Hojbjerg: “He’s probably been glancing over for the last five minutes thinking any chance (of coming off)!
“You took my mate (Rodrigo Bentancur) off, I fancy five or 10 minutes off myself.”
Hojbjerg has been described as ‘unbelievable‘ for Spurs this season and continued his form last night on a hugely important night.
It probably reflects his importance to Conte and Tottenham that he did not get much of a break and was seen as vital to seeing the game out.
Spurs are now in the box seat to qualify for the next round, and if they win their next game at home to Sporting, they will surely get through.
That would give Hojbjerg a chance to further test himself against the best midfields in Europe after the turn of the year, which is what everyone at Spurs wants.
