Giovani Lo Celso was seen going mad at one Tottenham Hotspur teammate during the latter stages of their 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Sunday.
Giovani Lo Celso was exceptional for Spurs against the in-form Cherries. The 27-year-old provided the assists for both of the opening two goals.
But it was not a perfect afternoon for Ange Postecoglou’s side. Bournemouth probably had the chances to secure a very different scoreline. And Tottenham suffered a couple of fresh injury blows, with both Pape Matar Sarr and Alejo Veliz coming off in either half.
Giovani Lo Celso was going mad at Alejo Veliz in Tottenham win
Veliz’s injury was particularly disappointing given that the striker only came on in the 82nd minute. The Argentinian had opened his Premier League account with a late goal against Brighton in midweek.

But he was unable to make it to the full-time whistle against Andoni Iraola’s side – as much as he tried.
In fact, according to Football London, his attempts to carry on while clearly injured annoyed both Ange Postecoglou and Lo Celso. The pair were seen going mad at Veliz, imploring him to go down so the game could be stopped.
Striker has important role to play if he remains fit
Tottenham were looking to see out the contest. And Postecoglou probably senses that Veliz could have a bigger role to play in the weeks to come given that Heung-min Son is set to be away on international duty.
Lo Celso meanwhile, appears to have a close relationship with the striker. They both started their careers at Rosario Central. And Veliz apparently spoke to Lo Celso before signing for Tottenham in the summer. So the midfielder would have been looking out for the youngster, and is probably trying to help guide him at this stage of his career.
Veliz clearly had the desire to carry on, potentially fearing that he would be letting the side down by coming off. But clearly, others felt that he did not need to try and be a hero, and it would be better for Spurs if the game was paused.
