‘Get the deal done’: Some Everton fans rave about ‘electric’ star’s Euro display, amid Toffees links

Denzel Dumfries played for the Netherlands yesterday at Euro 2020 – and some Everton fans on Twitter were amazed by the performance of their reported transfer target.

PSV Eindhoven defender Dumfries was key in a 2-0 Netherlands win over Austria.

Firstly, he won a penalty in the first half that was tucked away by Dutch teammate Memphis Depay. In addition, the 25-year-old full-back got on the scoresheet himself midway through the second half with a simple finish.

His goal came after a driving run forward to support the attack because he was willing to work his socks off for the entire 90 minutes.

He’s a right-back by trade, but works so well as a right wing-back for his country.

Everton fans loved Dumfries performance, amid Toffees rumours

A selection of Everton supporters on social media believe the Netherlands speedster was great on Thursday. Therefore, it makes interest in him really intriguing.

Eindhoven Dagblad, as relayed by the The Boot Room, reports that Everton’s director of football Marcel Brands is prepared to meet the asking price to sign Dumfries.

It is understood that PSV could sell him for around €15million (£13million), with Inter Milan also named as potential suitors.

However, it’ll be interesting to see if that’s still the case after amaazing back-to-back performances to start Euro 2020.

He has two years remaining on his deal, but looks like he could tear it up in England.
