'Get real': Some Arsenal fans react to claims 'incredible' player keen on transfer
Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Joe Willock would be keen on a move to Newcastle United.
The 21-year-old is a much-loved figure at St James’ Park after his successful loan spell up north in January.
And to provide hope for the Newcastle fans, it seems as though the Arsenal academy products want-to-be destination is where it all exploded for him last season.
Arsenal supporters have provided mixed thoughts on these rumours, with some thinking that they should cash-in, whilst others question his potential move to Newcastle and the Magpies putting the right money on the table.
It’s quite simple for Willock, he needs to pick a spot that will allow him regular minutes next term and allow him to flourish.
He did that eight months ago and it resulted in him breaking records by becoming the youngest player to score in seven consecutive Premier League matches.
That just goes to show how getting out of your comfort zone can elevate your status.
Willock clearly needs some sort of guarantee from Mikel Arteta that he will be a regular in his midfield.
If not, then a permanent move might be the best idea, but with Newcastle having Mike Ashley in charge at the top, it’s going to be pretty difficult to see him put big cash on the table for his talents.
Alan Shearer labelled the player as ‘incredible’ and even shared that he told Ian Wright that if Willock needs any advice then ‘my number is there’, as he told the NUFC Supporters Trust.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Arsenal fans reacting to the Willock rumours:
