Gary Neville labelled Tanguy Ndombele incredible to watch as he was asked on Sky Sports (broadcast on 21/3; 21:08) about the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder’s performance in their victory over Aston Villa.
Jose Mourinho’s side battled through at Villa Park to get back to winning ways. Carlos Vinicius and Harry Kane got their goals either side of the break to secure the three points.

A number of players seemed to produce impressive performances. And one of those was certainly Ndombele.
The Frenchman was lauded by a number of supporters after the game. He produced a number of moments of sheer brilliance and sumptuous quality when in possession.
And that left Neville briefly lauding the 24-year-old as he came off the pitch during the latter stages of the contest to be replaced by Moussa Sissoko.

“He was good,” he told Sky Sports. “He’s incredible to watch on the ball, the way in which he protects the ball and manipulates it for a central midfield player.”
As shown by Whoscored, only Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg made a greater number of successful passes than Ndombele. Meanwhile, he also managed six successful dribbles and three tackles.
It was an impressive all-round display from Ndombele. And it was arguably a further reminder of the player he could develop into if he continues on the right path.
There is an opportunity for a player to stamp their authority on their place alongside Hojbjerg in the middle of the park. And Ndombele has surely staked the strongest claim so far with his performance against the Villans.
