Gary Neville aimed a fresh dig at Arsenal just before the end of the Tottenham Hotspur game last night.

The pundit was covering the Spurs game on Sky Sports and seemed to dig out Arsenal during the London derby.

Mikel Arteta was left furious after Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United on Saturday after a controversial Anthony Gordon winner.

The Spaniard labelled the decision to award the goal a ‘disgrace’ and Arsenal came out with a statement the following day backing their manager.

Neville has already issued a sarcastic response to Arsenal’s club statement on social media and has made his stance on Saturday’s incident clear.

And during Tottenham’s 4-1 defeat to Chelsea last night, Neville once again took aim at the Gunners.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville aimed a fresh dig at Arsenal while he was commentating on Tottenham’s game.

“I think in the current climate Ange Postecoglou’s interview is really important about how he sees it,” Neville said. “I’m hoping he’s proud of his players for the effort they have given, but I’m hopeful also that he doesn’t divert attention towards officials and points the finger towards his players and takes ownership and responsibility of that.

“Because we have seen clubs react in the last couple of weeks I don’t think in the best interest of the game.”

It’s fair to say that Arsenal fans haven’t reacted well to Neville’s comments over the past few days and this will only infuriate them even further.

Gordon’s goal on Saturday has divided opinion and Neville believes the VAR ultimately came to the correct decision.

Of course, Arsenal have made their stance on the situation clear and it’s evident that Neville disagrees with the club releasing a statement.
