Gary Lineker has hailed Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo as an ‘impressive’ prospect after his latest display.
Kobbie Mainoo continues to impress for Man United after breaking into Erik ten Hag’s side this season.
The 18-year-old has missed just two Premier League games since making his debut at Goodison Park back in August.
Paul Merson has already lauded the midfielder as a ‘top class’ talent and Mainoo caught the eye at Villa Park on Sunday.
He played the full 90 minutes as United picked up a crucial 2-1 win over Villa and he’s impressed Gary Lineker.

Lineker says Mainoo is so ‘impressive’
Speaking on The Rest Is Football, Lineker lauded Mainoo after his latest display for United on Sunday.
“Kobbie Mainoo. He is very young but boy is he impressive. He was brilliant again at the weekend,” Lineker said.

Mainoo has emerged as a key player for Ten Hag this season and is playing with a maturity well beyond his years. He’s quickly become a mainstay in the United side and is currently ahead of a host of senior players in the pecking order.
Not many would have expected Mainoo to make the step up to first-team football with such ease. But he’s currently one of the first names on the team sheet at United.
At just 18, you’d imagine that the best is yet to come from Mainoo and United seem to have a real prospect on their hands.
It’s no surprise to hear the likes of Lineker praising the youngster and he put in another eye-catching display at Villa Park on Sunday.
Nothing seems to faze the youngster and United fans should be excited about what Mainoo could achieve at Old Trafford.
