Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has named Gabriel Magalhaes in his fantasy Champions League XI.
The Gunners had a fantastic time in the group stage of the Champions League this season. They finished on top quite comfortably and ended the round with the biggest goal difference in the entire competition. Martinelli and Magalhaes were both excellent for Arsenal.

Gabriel Martinelli says he feels powerful when Gabriel Magalhaes plays for Arsenal
Arsenal signed Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille in the summer of 2020 for £27 million (Sky Sports).
The Brazilian has been a regular for the Gunners since, and he is a magnificent defender. He has been one of Arsenal’s best players over the years, and he deserves all the praise he gets.
Gabriel’s performances often get overshadowed by William Saliba‘s brilliance next to him. The Frenchman is one of the best defenders in the world, but his 25-year-old partner at the back is not too far away either.
On Instagram yesterday, Gabriel Martinelli revealed his fantasy Champions League XI. He named a player in each position and then described the emotion he feels when he watches them play.
We’ve already told you what he said about Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.
At left-centre-back, Martinelli named Gabriel and revealed that he feels ‘power’ (or powerful) when he watches his compatriot start for the Gunners.

Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes is very underrated
Gabriel is usually the last person on people’s minds when they’re thinking of Arsenal’s current defenders.
William Saliba is obviously the first name that comes up, while Ben White, Oleksandr Zinchenko and even Takehiro Tomiyasu are massive fan favourites at the Emirates.
Gabriel, however, is up there with the rest of them, but for one reason or another, he just doesn’t get the credit he deserves on most occasions.
The Brazilian is one of the best defenders in the Premier League, and he really does deserve more praise, especially from pundits and rival supporters.
