Gabriel Jesus posts four-word reaction on Instagram after seeing Arsenal draw with Newcastle

Arsenal couldn’t continue their brilliant winning streak as they were held to a 0-0 draw with Newcastle United last night.

It was a fiery encounter, with the stop-start nature of the match making it tricky for either team to put their stamp on the game.

Injured forward Gabriel Jesus was following closely, and reacted to the Arsenal result on Instagram after the full-time whistle.

Jesus is a long-term absentee for the Gunners right now, after picking up an injury at the World Cup.

He’s now undergone surgery on his knee, and will be working hard to return to action as quickly as possible.

Jesus has been replaced up front by Eddie Nketiah, who started his third consecutive game yesterday.

The Brazilian has taken Nketiah under his wing, and his influence on the young forward can already be seen.

Arsenal’s number 14 was dropping deep and linking up play, something that Jesus excels at.

Nketiah had scored in back-to-back games before last night, but couldn’t earn the Gunners another important three points.

Jesus reaction to Arsenal result

Posting on his Instagram story, Jesus simply said, ‘We move on. TEAM.’

The most Jesus can do right now is support his teammates from the side lines and work on his fitness.

The Brazilian is still a leader amongst the squad, and will be doing all he can to help Arsenal potentially win an unlikely league title.

Facing off against a stubborn Newcastle side is one of the toughest challenges the Gunners will face this season.

Eddie Howe’s men are the best defensive unit in the league, and has frustrated almost every team they’ve come up against.

The likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli had some luck in wide areas, but failed to create too many clear-cut chances.

Jesus was still positive about the Arsenal result, but with his sharp reactions in the box could have made all the difference.

If Arsenal don’t strengthen further in attack, there remains a lot of responsibility on Nketiah.

However, the imminent arrival of Mykhaylo Mudryk – if Arsenal can get a deal over the line – would ease some of that pressure.
