Since his summer arrival from Lille, left-back Gabriel Gudmundsson is already very popular with Leeds United fans.
Following Junior Firpo’s departure as a free agent, Gabriel Gudmundsson was brought in to fill the void at left-back.
And after his first six appearances for the club, Leeds’ recruitment team are already receiving a lot of praise.
Gudmundsson has been hailed for his tenacious work ethic by fans at Elland Road , a proper bargain signing by Leeds.
A few years ago, Manchester City were interested in Gudmundsson, and it’s now very clear why.
Gabriel Gudmundsson praises new Leeds teammate Noah Okafor
That being said, in an interview with BBC Sport, Gudmundsson has now spoken about his relationship with another new Leeds signing, Noah Okafor.
The two are a new duo on the left hand side of Daniel Farke’s side this season, and Gudmundsson appears to already be enjoying playing alongside Okafor.
When they first signed him from AC Milan, Leeds felt as if Okafor was a real coup for the club, and his early performances under Farke have been promising.

And when asked about his new partner on the left, Gudmundsson was confident that his relationship with Okafor was only going to get better.
Gudmundsson said: “Noah is a great, great player, he’s shown that in a top league for Milan in Serie A, and as well in the Champions League.
“I think I played [against] him, we talked about it, I think in 2021, we played against Salzburg in the Champions League.
“Great player, great person as well. Just keep playing with each other, you know, and time will tell that we will have an even better relationship on the pitch.
“Because I think when you play more with each other, you get to know each other even more.”
Daniel Farke has already laid down a challenge to Noah Okafor at Leeds
Speaking last week, Leeds boss Farke actually pointed out how Okafor could raise his game to the next level.
Farke felt as if Okafor was already a goal threat, but he clearly wanted to see an improvement in other areas of his performance.
Farke said: “With his back to goal, he has to be a bit stronger. His success rate in his dribbling has to be better.
“In terms of being a goal threat, he has stepped up, but he must keep the ball better. Needs to find better times to take risks.”
Either way, it’s been an excellent start to the new season for Leeds, who have earned eight points after six games.
And a visit from Tottenham Hotspur this weekend represents another key opportunity for Leeds to put further points on the board.
