Newcastle United remains active in the transfer market ahead of Friday’s deadline.

The Magpies have outlaid £57m on five new arrivals so far and are hoping to bring in a sixth this week.

Fulham considering bid for Newcastle winger Miguel Almiron

TBR Football understands that a number of clubs are looking at a late move for Newcastle winger Miguel Almiron.

And TBR Football understands that one of those is Fulham – who are considering a bid for the Paraguayan, who has been of interest to the Saudi Pro League.

A new right winger has been high on Newcastle’s summer to-do-list but a right-sided central defender was the priority and if that is Marc Guehi – TBR Football is told they might not have the finances to do a winger, unless they sold another player, like Almiron.

Eddie Howe has said he wants to keep Almiron, but if he is sold to finance a replacement, it is believed he would approve such a move.

How much do Newcastle want for Miguel Almiron?

Newcastle signed Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United in January 2019 for a then-club-record fee worth around £20m.

Five and a half years on, the Tynesiders are looking for bids in the region of £30m to sanction his sale, which so far, no club has been willing to meet.

It’s unlikely Fulham will meet that valuation, so club chiefs will have to soften their stance and lower the demands.
