Free agent is perfect solution to Postecoglou issue, as Celtic star delivers seven-word blow on Instagram

Greg Taylor has undergone surgery on a shoulder injury – and it has left Celtic with an issue in defence. But Loris Benito is the perfect solution.

At the start of the season, Celtic had issues on both sides of the defence. Anthony Ralston and Taylor were given a chance, and both have starred.

Celtic have since brought in Josip Juranovic and he presents competition to the impressive Ralston. Taylor, meanwhile, had done well at left-back.

He had made 11 appearances for the Hoops before falling awkwardly on his shoulder against AZ Alkmaar. Now, he has confirmed surgery on Instagram.

So, Celtic have an issue at left-back – with no new signings brought in, in that position. Juranovic has been used, while Boli Bolingoli has returned.

Celtic need a left-back: Why Benito is perfect for the Hoops

Bolingoli was frozen out and many are still keen to see the back of him. Even if he is going to be used, he is Celtic’s only option without Taylor.

So, Celtic need a left-back. Back in 2019, The Sun claim Newcastle almost signed Benito from Young Boys. Instead, he moved to Bordeaux.

The 13-time Switzerland ace, though, only last two years in France and after 59 outings – he has left, on a free. After the summer, he is without a club.

Excellent going forward, Benito had a hand in 13 goals during his 94 appearances for Young Boys. He was part of Switzerland’s Euro 2020 side.

He needs a club, Celtic need a left-back with the required quality and at 29, Benito still has plenty of life left in him. It is a move that makes sense.
