After spells with Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest, Ange Postecoglou is now in the sights of Turkish outfit Besiktas.
It has been a mixed 12 months for the former Celtic manager, who was sacked by Spurs despite winning the Europa League at the end of 2024/25.
His spell with Nottingham Forest at the beginning of the current season was then ill-fated to say the least, lasting just 39 days before being removed from the City Ground.
But the experienced head coach is now on a shortlist to become the new Besiktas boss, T24 have reported.

Former Tottenham and Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou wanted by Besiktas
The Turkish outfit have endured a tough season, sitting fourth in the division and a full 17 points adrift of first-place Galatasaray.
In turn, after a difficult 2025/26, Besiktas made the decision to part ways with Sergen Yalcin at the beginning of the week.
They are now expected to appoint ‘a foreign coach with a strong career’, with President Serdal Adali and Football Director Onder Ozen agreeing on a three-man shortlist.
Ernesto Valverde, who is set to leave Athletic Bilbao at the end of the 2025/26 season, Bruno Genesio, and Postecoglou are the trio thought to be of interest.
It remains to be seen how keen the Greek-born coach will be on returning to management right now, but he is set to have a busy summer anyway.
Postecoglou will work as a pundit for ITV during the coverage of the 2026 World Cup, while another former Tottenham man, Thomas Frank, has been hired by the BBC.
What Ange Postecoglou wants from his next job
Whether it is with Besiktas or another team, Postecoglou has already outlined his intentions to return to management at some point.
But when doing so, as per TNT, he made it clear he wants to take over a team at the start of pre-season and not join in the middle of a campaign.
He said: ”I’ve figured out that for me to do what I do, the start of pre-season is a good starting point.
“Jumping in mid-season – especially in the Premier League but in most leagues – is just probably too much of a challenge for the way I do things. That’s what I’m holding out for.
“Where that is and what it looks like is hard to say at the moment, but I haven’t even scratched the surface of what I want to do over here yet and the impact I want to make, the football I want to play.”
