'Form has dipped': TalkSPORT pundit says Liverpool have two players who've been much better than KDB this year
Mo Salah and Sadio Mane have been better than Kevin de Bruyne this season, says TalkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy.
De Bruyne offered a reminder of his quality with four goals in Manchester City’s 5-1 win over Wolves at Molineux last night.
That victory was another huge step towards City retaining their Premier League title, but Cundy said that the Liverpool duo have been better over the course of the season.
Salah is the Premier League’s top scorer, while Mane has stepped up to the plate in a more central role after the signing of Luis Diaz since the turn of the year.

Salah and Mane have been better than de Bruyne, says Cundy
“I think Kevin de Bruyne’s form has dipped in the last six months,” he said.
“If you go back to Kevin de Bruyne two years ago, the version of him was the very, very best. I think he’s coming back into this form – certainly tonight – but there’s more to come from him.
“I’m not convinced that the de Bruyne we’ve seen the last six months is the very best Kevin de Bruyne. I’m not convinced.
“Kevin de Bruyne should be in the conversation for PFA Player of the Year, and I don’t think he’s in the top three. Salah’s in it, Mane’s in it, is de Bruyne in it? Is he in the top three? I don’t think we’ve seen his very best, recently.”
Salah leads the Premier League in terms of goals and assists and despite slowing down in recent months, he is probably the outstanding candidate to win PFA Player of the Year.
Mane has come through at the business end of the season, showcasing his versatility and adaptability to keep Liverpool rolloing on.
Reds legend Steven Gerrard admitted he warned his Aston Villa said heavily about Salah, Mane and Diaz before facing them on Tuesday night and that was no surprise.
Liverpool are on the back foot in the title race now, with City three points and seven goals better off but they have the chance to win the FA Cup on Saturday, when they face Chelsea at Wembley.
