Everton made multiple impressive signings throughout the summer transfer window, including Jack Grealish, but it’s a different player who has caught Gary Lineker’s eye.

The Toffees have undergone plenty of positive changes recently, with David Moyes returning to the club and the new Hill Dickinson Stadium proving to be a success.

That positivity appears to have translated to the pitch as well. The club is fifth in the Premier League after winning two of their three opening games.

Despite losing 1-0 against Leeds United in their first match of the season, Everton have gone on to defeat Wolves and Brighton as Moyes’ new-look squad has started to come together.

Gary Lineker believes Tyler Dibling has ‘real talent’

Everton looked to enhance the squad during the summer transfer window in a bid to push the club away from their recent relegation battles, and Lineker believes Tyler Dibling is the pick of the bunch.

The popular pundit praised the former Southampton midfielder during The Rest Is Football, where he highlighted Everton’s impressive signings across the board.

“I want to pick out Everton’s signing, Dibling. I think he’s got a real talent, £42.2million.

“I think you go Dibling, [Jack] Grealish, [Iliman] Ndiaye, I quite like the sound of that. [Kiernan] Dewsbury-Hall as well.”

Dibling joined the Merseyside club on a four-year deal after an impressive individual 2024-25 campaign, despite Southampton eventually being relegated.

The transfer took some negotiations from the Toffees due to Southampton’s initial £50million asking price, but Dibling was keen on joining Everton.

Everton fought off Tottenham Hotspur to secure Dibling’s signature, with the midfielder being highly sought after during the summer.

Jack Grealish has impressed for Everton

Dibling is one of many signings Everton made during the summer transfer window, as they aim to climb up the Premier League table.

Grealish was the most eye-catching name Everton signed, ending the England international’s difficult spell at Manchester City.

The tricky winger has created more assists than anyone in the Premier League during the opening three fixtures, immediately reminding everyone of his quality.

Grealish is playing with a point to prove as he aims to be involved in the England squad at the World Cup next summer, which is something that Moyes will benefit from.

Everton’s transfer business is working out well so far, with Moyes being financially backed to bring the club back to its former heights.
